By using Alpost you agree to these terms. We tried to write them in plain language and without small print: everything stated here is what the server actually does.
A free mailbox on one of our domains and free web space with PHP, MySQL and your own second-level domain. There is no charge and no payment details are required.
The platform does not provide: FTP or SFTP access (files go through the file manager in the browser), .htaccess (it runs nginx, not Apache), SSH, scheduled tasks of your own, mail sending from scripts, or IPv6.
So that the service does not turn into a source of bulk mail, a new mailbox earns its allowance gradually. This is not a punishment: without it our addresses would be on blocklists within a week and nobody's mail would arrive.
When a limit is reached the message is not sent and you get a clear notice saying when the limit lifts.
If nobody signs in for 180 days, the mailbox and all messages in it are deleted. Ten days before that we put a warning in the mailbox itself and send it to the recovery address if you gave one. Any sign-in cancels the deletion.
Sending mail from site scripts is not possible at all — there is no mail program installed on the hosting server. You may send only through your own mailbox with authentication, and then the limits in section 2 apply.
A mailbox or a site is suspended when these terms are broken. Phishing and malicious software are taken down on report immediately and without prior notice — here a delay costs other people money.
In every other case we write to you first and give you time to put it right.
The service is free and provided as it is. We watch the hardware, but we give no guarantee of availability or of data being preserved, and we are not liable for lost profit.
We keep no backups of client mailboxes or sites. A deleted message, an erased file or a broken database cannot be restored from our side: there is no copy to take it from.
If your mail or your site matters, keep your own copy. That is true of any free service, including the large ones.
We announce changes by mail to your mailbox at least 14 days in advance. If the new terms do not suit you, that is enough time to take your mail and files elsewhere.
