QR code generator
A code for a link, a Wi-Fi network, a business card or a payment — free and without registration. It is a static code: it never expires and scanning it does not contact our server.
Runs in your browser: the tool’s code contains no sending of what you enter. The tool opens in a separate frame from office.alpost.ch: the rules of that page (CSP) forbid fetch, XHR, WebSocket and beacon requests, and the browser blocks loading anything from third-party addresses — only the tool’s own files from office.alpost.ch are loaded. See for yourself: developer tools (F12) → Network tab.
How to use it
- Choose what to encode: a link, text, Wi-Fi, a contact card, email, phone, SMS, a location or a SEPA payment.
- Fill in the fields and, if you like, adjust colours, the quiet zone, error correction and a logo in the centre.
- Download a PNG for documents and websites or an SVG for print at any size. Test the code with your phone camera.
Static codes — no subscription, no tracking
Many generators create «dynamic» codes: they contain a short link to their server, which counts scans and stops working when the trial ends. Our code stores your data directly: once printed, it works forever, and nobody learns who scanned it or when.
Wi-Fi and business cards
A Wi-Fi code connects guests without typing the password — iPhone and Android cameras understand it. A vCard 3.0 business card saves name, phone, email, website and address to the contacts in one tap.
Logo and colours
A logo in the centre covers part of the code, so error correction is always at the highest level (H). You can change the colours, but the contrast must stay high — the generator warns you if the code may not scan.
Questions and answers
- Will the code stop working after a month?
- No. It is a static code: the data is stored in the code itself, with no server in between and no expiry date.
- Can I see how many times the code was scanned?
- No, on purpose: a static code does not pass through our server, so nobody counts the scans.
- PNG or SVG?
- PNG for websites, emails and documents. SVG is a vector format for print: it scales up to poster size without losing quality.
- Which error-correction level should I choose?
- M works in most cases. Choose Q or H if the code will be outdoors, on a curved surface or carry a logo.
- Is it safe to enter my Wi-Fi password?
- The code is built in your browser and the password is not sent anywhere. But anyone who sees the code can join the network — put it only where guests really need access.
